Treasure Hunting

This weekend I went "treasure hunting" with a group of women from Church. Let me define "treasure hunting"... It is the act of stopping at the first yard/estate/church sale, paroozing the wares to find something of great value to you...but costing you minimal amount of money. Then, hop back into the car...drive on searching for signs of another "sale". Make a U-turn 'cause you just missed the the road that the last sign pointed down. Locate the "sale" and do a drive-by-scan to see if it's worth stopping...it isn't. Then you decide to move on to the potential jackpots...these are the thrift stores. You never know what you will find. At the first stop we made I picked up a pillow and something to hang on the wall. The pillow was actually a "need"...the other was the fact that it was cute.

But, in all this, I don't think any of us found something worth a fortune in money. We did find things that we liked, could use, would make great gifts for someone else. And in my personal opinion...I found a Treasure in the fact that I have found a group of women who love yard sales and thrift stores just like I do.

Thanks Gals!!

One of the best treasures of the day was just spending time with friends, discovering common interests and having fun.
