A Slap on the Hand

Last week I was doing a Bible Study and God brought a passage to my attention. This goes to show that God speaks to his children in all sorts of ways. This particular passage was not part of the study I was doing...I just happened to stop on that page in my Bible while trying get to the passage I was looking for. The verse that God showed me was: Philippians 2:14 "Do everything without complaining or arguing,". Well, earlier that day I had been asked to do something for my boss that I just didn't feel like doing. So, in my mind I kept "complaining" about being asked to do this. God then took me to that passage and here is what happened:

God - "See what I have shown you?"

Me - "Yep, I see it. I'm sorry; I should not be complaining."

God - "Now remember this passage because you have a BIG problem with this."

Me - "Ok; I will."

God - "I'll be watching you to make sure."

Me - "Errr..."

God - "What was that?"

Me - "I'm sorry. You know, you're going to have to help me with this one."

God -
"Don't I always?"

Me - "What would I do without you?"

God -
"Do I really have to tell you?"

God does have a sense of humor. So, I wonder what he's going to tell me next!!
