Midnight Moment of Clarity

Here we have another instance where God has spoken. Last night/this morning I was praying. For the past few days I was wrestling with a subject that I did not have an answer to. So, I prayed that God would show me the answer...because there was one. Then I prayed that God would speak to one of my friends and put in her heart a burden for this subject and the answer and I'll ask her about it. Well, then God said to me "Shawna...you are married. Your husband is the head of the household. Why are you going to ask a friend about a spiritual matter before even asking your husband?". He was right...well, of course!! Why was I about to do this? Had I done this I would have not given Aaron the place he is supposed to have in our home. The place God intended him to have. Oh, there is more to this story. Well, then I decided that I would ask Aaron and get his thoughts then I would ask my friend. After deciding this, God said to me "Do not put the Lord your God to the test." See, in my heart of hearts I wasn't just asking to get the answer to this question from my friend...I was also asking to "see if God was speaking". What was I thinking? Well, in the end I did ask Aaron his thoughts on the matter and he was the only one I asked.
