Ugh

Well, we are safely in Houston. The flight was not bad. The plane was smaller than I had thought it would be but it got us here safely. My left ear is still plugged up. I've tried yawing, chewing gum, and even the medicines I've been taking for my cold have not been working. Oh well. I imagine the day before we leave it will get back to normal. HA! Today we went to the Houston Zoo. It was nice to get out. We did get a little sun, so right now we are a little red. Aaron pushed me around in a wheelchair the whole time, so he got his exercise for the day. The only drawback was that today was the day where all the schools planned their field trip to the zoo, so there were about 100+ first and second graders wandering around. But, after 12:00 they all seemed to disappear. The Houston Zoo was nice, but we still like the Birmingham Zoo the best. And, one of the most surprising things is that we made it out of there without buying anything from the gift shop! That's a first for us.

After the zoo, we came back here and Aaron went and found some cough medicine and night time cold medicine for me so I could sleep tonight. After resting for a little while we decided that it was time for dinner. So, one of the gentlemen from the hotel hailed us a cab and we proceeded to a suggested Mexican restaurant. It was pretty good...however, we will see what happens tomorrow. We were a little shocked at the cab fare...$11.00 each way. Supposedly it was only 3 miles away. Oh well.

Tomorrow is the big day. The day of testing and finding out as much as we can...the whole reason for this trip. I pray that I feel better in the morning and that my cold has gotten better. I also pray that we will get some answers while we are here and that we won't have to come back for a second trip to hear the answers. There is a chance that we will get to see the doctor again on Friday, but that is still up in the air. Either way, the Lord has it all in His hands and in His plans. We will see what He is going to do with this visit. I will let you know what happens later tomorrow or Thursday. Thank you for all your prayers. We really appreciate it.

One final note...if you would please pray for RJ. He seems to be a little fussy and my mom is not quite sure why. He's not showing signs of getting a cold, possibly more teething or just missing mom and dad. But, please pray for both RJ and mom. Thank you!
