When I was a kid instead of saying Happy New Year I would say Happy New You. So, Happy New You to you! We are going to my parents for our traditional New Year's dinner consisting of: hog jaws, black eyed peas, turnip greens and corn bread. If you have never had hog jaws, don't let the name turn you away. It's just a really thick piece of bacon. It's pretty good. Also, each year we put a dime in the turnip greens and whoever gets the dime is supposed to have a prosperous year.
Do you have traditions for your New Years day??
