In A Nut Shell

This weekend was a good weekend. The Bible study we went to on Saturday was great. It was very nice to fellowship with other believers. The topic we studied was The Sabbath and we discussed the legalistic view of keeping the Sabbath. As I had mentioned in a previous post, Aaron is currently being discipled. The wife of the gentleman who taught the Bible study has agreed to do the same for me. I am excited and a little nervous at the same time. The Bible calls us to "...make disciples of all the nations..." Matthew 28:19. It's been a long time since I've actively tried to memorize scripture. It is something the Lord has been pressing on me and will be necessary in discipleship as well as for defending what I believe.

Sunday was a good day as well. We went to Sunday School and morning service then went home and relaxed, read, took naps. Later, we went back to church and afterward ate dinner with one of the youth at IHOP. I was glad she was able to go; I always enjoy talking and hanging out with her. Next week starts a new quarter in Sunday school and I believe I am going to try another class. I am interested in a class that is doing a study on the book of Acts. I think it will be a good class and it will also allow me to learn more about this particular book.

Monday Aaron and I went to my parent's house for dinner. My dad grilled hamburgers and hotdogs for 17 of us. Mom made baked beans and potato salad. Everything tasted great. When I saw my nephews I hardly recognized them. It could have been partially because thier hair has grown long and covers their faces. I don't understand that style...oh well, I guess I'm getting old. HA! It was a lot of fun hanging out with the family and I always enjoy getting together with all of them.
