Sweet Old Ladies

Today I decided to take my camera to the retirement home and take some pictures of the ladies I talk to. I try to talk to everyone...but, these four are the ones that carry on the most conversation. There are a couple gentlemen who will talk, but not that much. The one who didn't seem to like me my first visit seems to be coming around. He's starting to talk to me more and today he smiled a few times. That made me feel good. I'm beginning to wonder who's getting the most enjoyment out of this...me or them. Here are the pictures I took...they are blurry...no surprise. I'll try to take better ones another time.

The picture on the top is Miss Edna (L) and Miss Della (R). The picture on the bottom is Miss Maemae on the left. I get the impression she may have had a hard childhood. I have not been able to talk to the woman on the right.

This is Miss Margorie. Las week she had bandages on the elbow. I'm glad to see they are off today. Miss Margorie seems to be able to remember the most and able to converse better; she happens to be one of the oldest...if not the oldest one in the group. For everyone else, I'm like a new person every time I visit. I am really enjoying visiting the group.

I really admire you for doing this. When I was in my mid 20s I tried doing this for a while, but did not stick with it. It is not always an easy thing, what you are doing and I know you are a true blessing to them, even if they don't remember you every time.
