Sunday Sunday

This whole weekend has been pretty busy. Sunday Aaron and I went to church. During the morning service we watched the babies in the nursery. God's way of trying to prepare us for what's to come. The big difference is that we are only having one child; not 4. But, even if we were having 4; God would give us all we need to handle what He's given us. After church, lunch was served in honor of "Friend Day". The lunch was good...BBQ, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, potato chips and some tea. It was what I would consider a typical summer meal. There was even watermelon for desert, along with a wide variety of other delicious treats. We ate our lunch, talked, mingled, and Aaron helped put chairs a tables up.

After that it was home for a nap before we headed out to a church we wanted to visit. In February of this year Aaron and I, along with our pastor and 2 other gentlemen attended the "True Church Conference", which is put on every year by Grace Life Church of the Shoals. Since attending the conference we (Aaron and I) have enjoyed and have grown from sitting under the teaching of the men who spoke at that conference and those like them. One of the speakers from the conference is also the pastor of the church. This Sunday there was no evening service at our home church; therefore we decided it would be a great opportunity to visit Grace Life. Yes, it's a little bit of a drive...but in my opinion it was well worth it. It did my spirit much good to go there and I believe the Lord spoke to both Aaron and I through the sermon that was given. The passage that we read from was :

Hebrews 12:11-13 11No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

12Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. 13"Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.

We left there lifted up and spiritually fed. It was great.
