A Visit

This Friday I went for my first visit at the retirement home. I had a good time. There were 3 ladies and one gentleman that I talked to. The gentleman (can't remember his name) didn't seem to be very happy. At one point he did tell me that he didn't like me. I told him that that was ok and I that I still liked him anyway. I also talked to a Miss Edna who does not eat anything green and seems to be just along for the ride of life. Miss Della was a sweetheart and got very excited about meeting a new person. Miss Maemae was quiet but we talked about jewelry. I tried to get to know them as well as they could remember. The gentleman who said that he didn't like he continued to talk to me and ask me questions. He at one point asked how much I was getting paid to visit; then he asked me if i was Catholic. He may have just been trying to size me up...oh well. When I was getting up to go Miss Edna said that they didn't want me to go. I was sad, but I knew I would be back and there may be a good chance that they might not remember my previous visit. I was glad to go and can't wait 'till my next visit. Oh, and I did not cry!
